One of the biggest problems when it comes to dealing with temptation is not knowing what to do when we get tempted. Most of us have heard that when dealing with temptation we should resist the temptation. The problem is that when we resist the temptation then the temptation wins and now we are fighting against something we can’t fight. The first thing we need to do is understand that every time we resist temptation then temptation wins.

When it comes to dealing with temptation, there are three basic things we need to remember. The first thing that we must make sure of is that we will not yield to our temptations, then we must make sure that we won’t participate in acts that cause others to be tempted and lastly we must make sure that we will not go near any of the areas where God has placed His enemies.

When it comes to resisting temptations we must remember that God has placed some particular places in this world where people will be tempted. If you want to resist temptation then you must make sure that you won’t go near any of these places because once you go near them you will find that temptation has triumphed.

One of the main causes of temptation lusts. Lusts are passions which lead to immorality, idolatry, pornography, fornication and even abuse of one’s self. We must make sure that we don’t participate in any of the things that lead to lusts and if we can’t even resist the temptation then we won’t be able to remain spiritually alive. Everyone deals with lusts to a certain degree but everyone is different and only those who remain strong in the spirit can continue to remain free from any form of spiritual weakness.
