Introduction to Online Learning

Learning is an important part of our lives. As a student or as a professional, its importance does not decrease as we progress. Learning, apart from being a formal need of students and professionals, is also an industry. New dimensions to it are added by the advancement of technology. Online Learning is one such aspect of learning.

This course provides an introduction to online learning. We start off with the concept of learning, in reference to our course. The different types of the learning modes are discussed, as well as its various uses for the different audiences. Converging on the main topic, the main body of the course focuses on the types of online learning, its history, and its different users. Later on, the course also provides a comparison between traditional and online learning, its relative advantages and disadvantages, some recent facts and figures, and the current trends in the industry.
