Culture and Globalization

CULTURE AND GLOBALIZATION

Culture has always been an important aspect of sociological, behavioral, and economic studies. Human behavior has many stimuli and motivations, and culture is one of the most important influences. The norms and values dictated by cultures can be used to accurately predict the behavior of the individuals. The actions covered by these behaviors have a wide range: from everyday life to social affairs; from business dealings to consumer behavior.

Globalization, on the other hand, is a relatively new phenomenon. Its relevance and importance has been increased with the advancement of technology and opening of economic barriers. The whole world works as a global village, where universal inclusion is an important aspect. This diversity of workforce is not just a result of globalization. For the sake of having more creativity and a wider range of ideas, organizations prefer that they have teams and groups of individuals from different ethnic and geographic backgrounds. In this aspect, it is important for everyone to be familiar with the concepts of Culture and Globalization, so that they are more self-aware, and are better equipped to make the most out of the diversity offered to them.
