There has been a lot of debate recently concerning whether or not cell phones are tools that should be allowed in the classroom. There is a widespread consensus among educators, parents, and lawmakers that cell phones can actually be harmful to students, and they should not be allowed in the classroom. This has been fueled by news stories about bullying and other school shootings that seem to involve cell phones. Even so, new cell phones perform better than older ones when it comes to learning, and they are becoming more of a necessity in today’s high-tech world.
It is easy to see why cell phones have become so popular with students. With a simple click of a button, students can get immediate access to the Internet, send instant text messages, play games, take pictures, videos, and even download music to their cell phone. They can also use applications that allow them to access the Internet on their computers and access email.
Most schools have rules about using cell phones in the classroom, but there is still some room for interpretation. The fact is that many cell phones are just as useful as traditional learning tools for many students. In the end, it really depends on what a student wants to do with their cell phone. As long as it helps them learn properly, cell phones are beneficial in the classroom.
