Our Dissertation Completion Pathway (DCP) offers a structured program that recognizes your past academic coursework while providing you the guidance you need to complete your dissertation.

Genesis University’s program objectives will support students to:

  1. Conduct comprehensive research in the light of their biblical, historical, and cultural context;
  2. Prepare for practical professions appropriate for formal church ministries; and,
  3. Complete practical ministry experience related to their chosen profession and ministry.

Students will write a Dissertation Research study using the APA Style format. Students will be provided with the dissertation template.
After enrolling in the Comprehensive Exam course, students must have successfully completed all required coursework and must be in good standing. Students who are unsuccessful in the comprehensive exam are allowed a second chance to pass.

Genesis University Dissertation Completion Pathway includes as follows:

PHASE ONE: Submit a three page Dissertation Prospectus; which includes your dissertation topic, abstract, research background, problem statement, purpose statement; and research questions.

PHASE TWO: Conduct your research and submit your research manuscript for review after the completion of each chapter, as follows:
Chapter One: Introduction;
Chapter Two: Literature Review;
Chapter Three: Methodology;
Chapter Four: Findings; and,
Chapter Five: Discussion.
Dissertation Defense

PHASE THREE: Upon completion and approval of the Dissertation Research paper, the candidate will present a 20-30 minute PowerPoint oral final defense of the study with an emphasis on the findings and the conclusions. Evaluation of the Final Defense will include three possible results: Pass, Provisionally approved with revisions, or Failure.
